Dream Lover Screen Play 1998

DREAM LOVER BY ED DONLIN (c) 2003

 FADE IN

INT. MOVIE THEATER - AFTERNOON - DAY

The screen is filled with a massive explosion, and the BOOM shakes the seats of the sparsely occupied theater. Even as the inferno unfolds on the screen, the words - THE END Scroll slowly up the screen.

The small audience gets up and walks out. In the middle of the small crowd is DAVE BERRY (32), a young man dressed in Bermuda shorts, sandals, white socks, a plaid shirt, glasses, and a crew cut.

DAVE

(softly)

I'm too common for my own good. Who goes to a movie matinee by himself on a Sunday afternoon?

EXT. DIVIDED HIGHWAY - NEXT MORNING - DAY

A bright and sunny morning. A Late Model Auto (LMA) moves along the divided highway at a speed just below the posted limit!
